Apparently, Monica Bellucci’s Canna Love is Newsworthy. I Love Italy.

Clearly, we were not the only ones who noticed that one Monica Bellucci was having some trouble concentrating on the task at hand when she handed the Golden Ball to Fabio Cannavaro* the other day. In fact, someone at La Gazzatta Dello Sport found her gaga-ness so significant that he actually arranged an interview with her to discuss it. No lie. From the surely lengthy sit-down with Ms. Bellucci — headline: “Cannavaro is Good and Also Sexy!” — we learned that her crush was in no way decreased by the knowledge that Canna has been with his wife for roughly 400 years. In fact, it makes him even hotter, what with all the honorable devotion and everything. Not only that, but she seem to believe the man is some sort of Neapolitan deity, who, with his “beauty, [his] continuous difficulties and [his] heat that burns … transmit[s] a … positive energy” though his “beautiful” eyes. Um, yikes. Crazy much, Monica?
Just thinking out loud here, but it seems Canna might want to ramp up his personal security forces right about now.
*And, as a handy side-effect of her nuttiness, Bellucci has provided a perfect opportunity to repost the widely demanded shirtless photo of her beloved. I am nothing if not a servant to the readers.
