Goals of the Week

By: chris | March 24th, 2008

Fabio Quagliarella makes his first appearance, making all right within the universe again. A relatively thin weekend - or there were too many good goals indiscernible from each other, can’t decide which - so it stretched back to the mid-week games as well.

The Fab Quags

Welcome back.

The Brienza 1

Stoppage time dagger from outside the box against Napoli, Franco’s second sweet goals of the week.

The Brienza 2

Personally, I’m just a fan of this goal. Fantastic placement off the turn.

The Style Points

Marco Borriello seals his call up to the Azzurri with acrobatics (along with the other goals, of course).

The Pretty Ball

Simone Pepe, like Luciano Figueroa and Amauri over the weekend, curled a very pretty ball off the post and into the net. (Just after the intro.)

The best goal was in my opinion the non existent Rosina goal in the last clip… pure skill! Bad luck!

And for some reason, we decided that Brienza did not warrant a starting spot…unreal.

Surprised you didn’t give a mention to Max Tonetto vs. Empoli. The Totti backheel set-up was pretty sweet.

    Anyways, Fab Quags for me.
