WAG of the Week: Melissa Satta

Meet Melissa Satta, the young (and I do mean young) Italian-American model who has won the heart of Christian Vieri — they’ve been together over a year which, in Bobo Years, is actually a decade and a half. In terms of his relationships, it’s as if they’ve already retired together.

Satta is 21 — for those of you bad at math, that’s less than half her man’s age — and has been modeling since she was a teeager. She was born in Boston, and spent the first 16 years of her life moving back and forth between the US and Sardina but, after winning the Miss Muretto pageant (I have no idea what it is but, since this is Italy, it really doesn’t matter.) when she was 17, she moved to Milan to pursue a modeling career. The rest, as they say, is (WAG) history: Modeling, a footballer boyfriend, showgirl gigs, and a spot on the oddly irresistible Strip the News, which she “works” to this day. (And at least half the joy Fiorentina fans felt at Bobo’s signing was because they knew she’s be coming to town, too. No lie.)

  Martha - Good choice. Her swag is phenomenal.

  But, um, your boy Bobo is 34. She’s 21. She’s is, though not much, more than 1/2 his age. I did have to re-read that paragraph a few times to make sure, on account of Melissa distracting me.

  i think they have been at it longer than a year. this actually helps me understand a lot in the world. this explains why bobo stayed at inter so long. he must have seen that pageant. thank god that he at least waited till it was legal! =P lol
