Winning the World Cup Finally Pays Off, Or: Mmm … Pretty Motorcyles
By: Martha | February 8th, 2007
Though the AC Milan website seems to think the Azzurri are being given cars by MV Augusta Motor, as far as I can tell the company only makes motorcycles, which makes the freebies a whole hell of a lot cooler. The team (And coaches — take a moment, please, to imagine Marcello Lippi, cigar firmly place, tooling around Rome on a badass motorcycle. Could anything be more prefect? I think not.) is being given personalized MV Agusta Brutale 910R Italias, which are fully pimped out with Azzurri colors and symbols. In addition, each player’s bike will feature their name and number, just in case, say, Oddo has a party and his driveway is full of identical motorcycles — this way, they don’t even have to remember where they parked. I mean, check out these freaking things. I’m mostly scared of motorcycles, but these puppies (that’s a technical term, by the way) are seriously hot.
One request, though: Could someone please make sure Matrix issues some sort of warning if he’s going to take his out on the public roads? Because that man is such a menace on foot, I don’t even want to think about the damage he could do with one these suckers between his legs.

That is an awesome looking motorcycle, but after the Ben Roethlisberger and Jay Williams sports-star-almost-kills-self-on-motorcycle stories of recent years, I hope they all come with awesome looking helmets. (And Nesta shouldn’t be allowed within 50 feet of the thing–he’d hurt himself just throwing his leg over it.)
I wonder if footballer’s contracts have clauses about high risk activity, but driving in Italy in a regular car is high risk activity, so probably not.

Oh my, those things are F’n money. I’d prefer a steele blue Ferrari but…

Oh dear — good point, Louise. (And LOL about poor Nesta.)

Yeah what Muddia said. A nice Gun Metal F430, or an F430 with a similar customized paint jobs as the bike would be cool.
But..
I sooo want one of those Bikes. Those things are seriously kick ass! I am still giddy over the World Cup win. I would drive that thing everywhere!
