WAG of the Week: Manuela Arcuri

[Real life and work are kicking my ass right, so this is probably the last post for the day. Luckily, there's very little happening in the world o' calcio today, and I'm sure you'd rather look at a WAG than read about Ronaldinho again anyway.]

The lovely Ms. Arcuri is doubly qualified for this feature having dated both Francesco Totti and and Francesco Coco. (In addition to getting the title of Calcio WAG, she also deserves our deepest respecting for scoring that pair of men. I mean, damn.)

I really need to create a paragraph I can cut-and-paste here, because pretty much the same elements appear in the bios of all of these women, from nude modeling to the same damn TV shows. And, yes, Manuela is a model. It’s been her goal practically since birth, apparently, but since she “grew up in a loving, supportive household” (in case you were wondering), everyone was totally cool with her desire to splash her womanly bits* across the pages of magazines and newspapers throughout Italy.

One guess what she moved on to after she made her name as a model. Yep, acting! Actually, Arcuri started out in the movies, which sets her apart a bit from the rest of the WAGs. And she’s put together quite a resume, moving from small “Oh, look at the hot chick!” parts into starring roles in movies that aren’t all crap. Reassuringly, though, she did eventually move on to TV, where she’s currently starring in a series, having spent some time as a proverbial showgirl and (of course) appeared in a season of Police Officers, the go-to show for all Italian models. And, as an added bonus, she showed up on the set of Scherzi a parte, the Punk’d-style show that does mean things to footballers (among others), and did an impromptu pole dance. I have no idea what it’s about, but the guy at the end seems very concerned about the sensitive children who may be watching.

  I’m glad you guys are enjoying the crack (though RomaPete has me worried we may just have hit the wall), I hope the quality of the good continues to be so high — feel free to suggest ladies with ties to footballers (no, not Ilary Blasi, Muddia). Also, remember we’re still trying to find a man for Girogia Palmas so she can have a solo post. I know Lazy offered to move to Italy for her, but since he’d playing below Serie B, I’m afraid that wouldn’t do it — I know it’ll be a struggle, but keep an eye out for news on her dating life.

  Tom, your comment made me laugh out loud. My choices were the boobies pic or the shoe pic, so I resized them both to fit into the post. Thus the “smaller boobies” was about the size of the image — never the actual boobs. Which, as you say, are smaller than very little.

  I found a couple little paparazzi shots in which she looks good, roswitha, thanks for the suggestion. Of course, since she’s not a showgirl/model, there are hardly any pics of her online — we need hot women who both date Italian footballers AND are exhibitionists. Damn Mrs. De Rossi for being demure!
