Guidolin and Totti for QPR?
By: Martha | October 12th, 2007
That second name got your attention, didn’t it? Yes, Queens Park Rangers’ new Italian owner, F1 partyboy Flavio Briatore, has shared with the press his greatest fantasy (fit for a family audience): For Francesco Totti to end his career in London, with QPR. Not going to happen, of course, unless Rosella personally eats one of Totti’s babies, but it’s rather sweet of Briatore to launch into such lofty ambitions, particularly when his team is rooted to the bottom of the Championship.
A slightly more reasonable ambition, perhaps, would be the arrival of former Palermo (and Monaco, and Udinese, and Parma, and Bologna … ) boss Francesco Guidolin to take over the team. Not as flash as rumored targets Gianluca Vialli and Billy Costarcuta, but probably a whole lot more affordable, not to mention experienced. Though the story apparently originated in The Sun, which is a less reliable source of news than my dog, it’s been picked up by some outlets who actually do research to support their stories, and since Guidolin was spotted at QPR’s match last weekend (Along with, erm, Naomi Campbell.), it’s probably a good bet he’s at least being considered. The man himself though denies he’s been in contact with the club but, really. What are the odds he just turned up in the QPR director’s box without being invited?
An official announcement is expected momentarily, but it’s been that way for weeks, so don’t hold your breath.

I think with the Italian links we can expect QPR to become little Italy. But Totti? Never.

This made me laugh. :D
Totti didn’t leave Roma over Real, Milan, Inter and a lot of other strong teams. What would possibly make him go to Q.P.R?! (wtf?!..)
I can’t wait till I see Chris’ reaction to this one. :)Posted from

This is the same guy that knocked up Heidi Klum. He doesn’t get any more fantasies. He’s done for life.

It doesn’t count against his fantasy quota when he actually makes it happen, Chris and Marco — that would be brutally unfair to people with ridiculous lives. Actually, wait. Maybe those are just the ones who shouldn’t get to have fantasies. I like how you’re thinking.
