No Crespo For Inter — Not Tomorrow, At Least
By: Martha | April 17th, 2007
Hernan Crespo may not know where’s going to be playing next season, but he knows where he won’t be tomorrow: On the pitch with his team when Inter face Roma. After limping off during the first half of Sunday’s draw with Palermo, Crespo has been diagnosed with a pulled thigh muscle and will be out least for one game. (Turns out he was not, as some — Ok, I — suspect, faking an injury in order to let fellow Argentine Julio Cruz get a little playing time.)
While Roma might be momentarily happy to hear that Inter will be without the striker, the problem for them is that Ibra just made a return to fitness from his own injury, and is expected to available for Wednesday’s match. So, yeah — the challenge remains a significant one, particularly considering Inter can claim their first on-pitch Scudetto in ages with a win, and will be absolutely flying after those three points.
