Don’t Look Now, But Milan Have Won Two in a Row
By: Martha | November 29th, 2006
Sure, one of them was a Coppa Italia game against Brescia in which Borriello and Antonelli started but still — wins is wins, right? With a season as dismal as the one Milan have so far endured, this is a winning streak to be celebrated. Plus looking ahead they’ve got Cagliari and Torino on the immediate Serie A horizon, matches that, even without Dida and Gattuso, can certainly be approached something something resembling optimism. And, even with a tough match at Fiorentina following those two, a few wins will do wonders for the confidence of everyone around the club. While at this point the Scudetto is laughably out of reach, they’ve got that Champions League pipe dream to cling to, as well as the undeniably important general goal of regaining their prestige in Italy. Who knows, we could be just a few weeks from Carlo Ancelotti being able to hold his head up in an interview room again.
Also, speaking of Milan, please go check out the gamecast on their website. I mean, how great are those icons? A little referee for “generic event?” Classic! And look at that little injury picture! Hours of effort and millions of lire have clearly gone into the development of a web feature this frightfully sophisticated.

Ooh, I like the little yellow-card icon. You can almost see the little ref scowl.
I wonder if he gets a big eyebrows-meeting-in-the-middle frownie face for a red card?

“And look at that little injury picture!”
Wow, yeah, it’s Nesta! I’m impressed.
