Cassano’s Injury Not So Bad; Is Fit to Visit Ne’rdowell Friends

When Antonio Cassano went down over the weekend in a friendly against Swiss side Bellinzona — one organized in large part to help him get fit — it was feared his leg injury was severe enough to keep him out for “several weeks,” a dismal occurrence for a player so desperate to make a fresh start. Depending on who you believe, the latest is either a great relief or sad news for the “unruly striker,” because some people say he’ll be out only for a couple weeks, while others are reporting he’ll be on the shelf for a full month. So, thanks to the copious sources available on the internet, we know nothing. Yay, technology!
However long Cassano is going to be out, though, the injury can’t be that bad — he managed to get from Genoa to Milan shortly after it happened in order to have a blissful reunion with fellow Azzurri cast-off Christian Vieri. According to the OCD Fiorentina fan sites, Cassano traveled directly from Switzerland to Milan to stay with his homie (one hopes he had least had the decency to limp a little), and the pair of bad seeds spend the next day riding around on Bobo’s Vespa, hanging out with singer/footballer wannabe Eros Ramazzotti, and taking a romantic walk around the city center. Aren’t they a perfect pair? I can’t imagine Bobo’s 14-year-old girlfriend approves, however. God only know what they’ll get up to together.
