Gerrard is not the same class as Gattuso. Gattuso is a great player that has won big with AC Milan and the azzurri. If Gerrard played in Serie A or La Liga he would be just another diamond dozen midfielder.

What’s funny about it is, the name “Gattuso” either is or is very close to the Italian word for “kitten.” (I know it’s “gatito” in Spanish, I assume it’s something like that in Italian–but slap me if I’m totally off.)

Stevie’s autobiography came out last year. These quotes were taken out of context. It was a response to Gattuso’s arrogance while leaving the field at halftime during the 2005 CL Final. Who wants to bet Gennaro won’t pat the trophy coming on the pitch this time?

Gattuso tried to start a feud of words and was ignored by LFC completely. We’ll do our talking on the field and I hope, dear God do I hope, that Gattuso tries to mark Stevie-G.
