Chelsea Preparing to Bring the (Argentine) Cow Back to the Barn?

On the same day Andriy Shevchenko (that’s “Former bomber the rossonero one” to you) assured us once again that he is going to stay at Chelsea for ever and ever, word comes that Chelsea may be preparing to call another former Milan man back to England when the season ends.
According to statements by Hernan Crespo’s agent today, there is a clause in the player’s two-year deal with Inter that allows Chelsea to call him back during the 2007 summer transfer window, if they want him. And, since Crespo is still owned by the London club, there’s pretty much nothing he can do — if Roman Abramovich says jump, he has to say “How high?” (Really, Crespo should have known better than to regain his form. When he sucked, Chelsea couldn’t wait to see the back of him.)
Now, as we all know, wor Hernan doesn’t have many good things to say about his time at Chelsea, so he’ll likely fight tooth and nail to stay in Inter. And, since it’s not up to him, this is shaping up to be a delicious, quote filled saga, come June. Cue the whining about the injustice, and endless “In Soviet Russia, football club own you” quips. Can’t. Wait.
