Coppa Italia: I Believe That’s What They Call “Rampant”
By: Martha | May 10th, 2007
Someone apparently forgot to tell Inter they had a Coppa Italia game yesterday, because apart from Hernan Crespo they failed to show up at the Olimpico, leaving Roma in complete control of the pitch and the match. Though I haven’t actually watched the game (Stupid Tivo, recording the old time slot.) reports — and our friendly neighborhood commenters — suggest the damage could have been much, much worse than six had Roma really had their finishing boots on. Which, really, is terrifying, particularly considering they were up 2-0 after five minutes.
Pleasingly, no one at Inter was making any excuses for the result, or for their dismal performance. Quite the opposite, in fact. Straight-talking, ageless captain Javier Zanetti, for example, said “What we could have done wrong in one season, we did wrong in just one game.” HA! Now, if Maurizio Zamparini had said that, we’d probably chalk it up to crazy. Coming from Zanetti, though, it has a vaguely terrifying ring of truth.
More frank talk came from Dejan Stankovic and Roberto Mancini, both of whole essentially said that Roma wanted to win more than Inter did, which is a depressing admission indeed. And, because Mancini is not a moron, he’s also already admitted the Coppa is basically already in Roma’s hands. Luciano Spalletti, meanwhile, is frantically knocking on wood and not refusing to buy silver polish just yet, insisting in the press that his team is quite capable of making enough mistakes in the return leg to allow Inter back into the tie. Aw. Isn’t he sweet?
Inter will try to regain some dignity at home next week, while Roma will come out planning to confirm their weird ownership of the team no one else could beat all season.

Use this as reference when wanting to check what games are on and when. It has all the channels, all the start times, and whether the game is being shown live, delayed or replayed. I find it to be pretty good. I have stopped relying on DVR guides.
