Well, yeah, but there was also this, which obviously led to the statements in your first link. You obviously are more plugged into the RomaScene than I, I’m just less trusting than you are of “OH I LOVE MY CLUB!” quotes that come out immediately on the heels of reports of discontent — to me they’re often more signs of “You get your ass out there and fix this!” orders more than actual happiness.

And you really believe he and Totti are ok, just because he said so in the paper, and they now periodically touch after goals? Huh. Maybe I’m too cynical for my own good.

Everything that has ever come out of his mouth says he loves it in Rome and he doesn’t want to leave. He and Totti made up last fall and things are gravy. I don’t typically believe a lot of what the papers say unless it’s a direct quote.

There are plenty more. I don’t think he’ll leave for years, if he does. The Brazilian flame blazes strong in Rome and he’s said he wants to be a part of that lineage. Oh, and he’s paid very handsomely and will be getting a raise very soon. That helps.

IMO the best place to confirm names is probably http://www.gazzetta.it; click on the drop-down menu “calcio” and then “squadre,” and then choose your team.

Once you’re at the team page, click on “Rosa” at the new second top bar. According to those pink pages we all love, it’s:

Crap, I can’t remember. I swear I read a specific refutation of that being his name recently, but maybe it was in a dream. Or maybe I was thinking about Mancini? (Sorry if I’m wildly spreading misinformation, I’ll dig around see if I can find anything specific to jar my memory.)
