Although I am extremely biased, I think it's safe to state that the rest of Italy acknowledges the uniqueness of Tuscan humour. The reaction to the arrival of Bobone is I think one fine example. Maybe only Roma fans, however we as Viola may dislike them, have a similar taste for this kind of humourous chants. Well political correctness isn’t their forte, but that is also true for many of the ultras all over Italy, and possibly the world.

Escude is not bad either. As for Frey, Coupet is a great goalkeeper as well but for sure Frey should be higher up then Landreau even if I am speaking with my Serie A tinted specs on. The young fiorentina side really has some skill to build on, huh? But IMO despite looking like they were playing a man up all day, fiorentina looked the weaker team. ANd Roma played without Totti, Perrotta, Juan and Cassetti and didnt bring Aquilani on till late in the 1st. but the Viola looked dominant for much of the game. it was strange. they looked the better team but you could tell the roman side was going to win. I think its the poor floerintine defense on display. Great for Serie A to have these two teams playing at such a high level!!! what a great game. FYI Frey looks like a fatter version of Kurt Cobain… That’s how Cobain might have looked SANS Drugs… that’s just my take on it.

From fewest goals conceded in Serie A to conceding 6 through 5 games this year is not a good trend. That being said, it is impressive to fight back twice against a side the quality of Roma, even if they were not at full strength. Frey and Mexes showed once again the lack of quality of coaching for the French National team. Frey has exactly one major flaw as a goalie and that is that he's relatively short. Mancini took advantage of that to perfection with that sublime chip for the opening goal. And I must say that I was impressed with Bobo today. He was great at holding up the ball and distributing. However the penalty showed his lack of pace. In his prime that would have been one touch and in the back of the net before the slide tackle even arrived. He still did well to win the penalty. And how long until Donadoni gives Montolivo a chance in the center of the park? Italy looks good for the future with a combination of Aquliani, De Rossi and Montolivo in the center of midfield.
