Great Italian Players Profiles
By: Francesco | September 11th, 2008
I’ve decided to add a new segment to the Italy Offside, where I’ll put up a bio and profile of a great Italian player of the past (or present). I think the most fair way to do it will be to have the readers vote who they would like, and I’ll satisfy your suggestions. I know most people will mention the big names like Baggio, Maldini, Albertini, Baresi etc but I would also like to profile the “unsung heroes” if you will like Giancarlo Marocchi, Carlo Nervo, Pietro Vierchowod, Beppe Dossena, etc you get the idea.
So Vote away in the comments section and I’ll choose a player to profile!

On a less parochial note, I think it might well be interesting for this audience to learn more about the distinguished playing careers of notable Italian managers such as Trapattoni, Capello, Ancelotti and Mancini.

I remember Mancini’s, Ancelotti was a bit beyond my time.
Capello can kiss my ass. He’s no bianconero.

So it looks like the first player to be profiled will be Beppe Signori. (one of my favorite players from the 90’s)

Watching the inter-catania match i almost blew a fuse when Muntari slighly slaps Tedesco who happened to fall as if b a barracus struck him with a sledgehammer! that is absolutely pathetic, you can fake a trip in a dispute or creatively drop in a tackle but this…..i can’t believe that man can look at himself in the mirror after being shown on tv…how can his wife or girlfriend ever respect the man…i bet they slap some sense into him and make him wash the dishes 24/7. I was simply foreingly embarrased to witness the scene.
