Hooray — It’s Christmas Time in Milan!
By: Martha | December 14th, 2006
I know I shouldn’t admit this, but I actively look forward to the Inter Christmas parties. Not, sadly, because I get to go, but rather because their website’s ever-vigilant photo editor makes sure we see enough of what went on to be able to pretend. In other words: They’re all dressed up and I like it. Plus, it’s fun to see the proverbial WAGs, as well as the appalling lack of style exhibited by some of the players. Ibra, for example, clearly missed the memo — everyone else is wearing sport jackets at the very least, while he shows up in a creepy western-style shirt that seems to have little … medallions on the collar. So sad, and so not surprising. Equally unsurprising is that Figo and Stankovic are totally working the style, and that Cruz and his wife are utterly adorable. Matrix, meanwhile, brought his whole family in a clear effort to win me over by playing the cute dad card. (Humiliatingly, I fear it might be working.) Where, you ask, are the youth players? Oh, them. They celebrate in a hall, in training gear. So not kidding.
Shut up and quit judging, you know you want to look. Go ahead, no one will tell.

Do you think Ibra got that shirt from someone at Juve after they filmed their “Brokeback Mountain” themed dance video?

I have to say the Inter party looks a little second rate compared to Milan
