as much as it pains me to say this, i hope inter overcomes the 2-nil deficit. i really dislike them, but i think my dislike for english teams is so much more. plus the longer they are in the CL the more tired they will be in the league, which is better for us roma fans.

but oddly enough, the only english team that i kind of like whatsoever is arsenal, i think it has to do with my cousin liking them. plus they play some rather nice football

THE BLAME SHOULD GO TO THE SUPERSTARS OF MILAN FOR NOT STEPPING UP. JUST BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY CAN WIN IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN. LETS GO ROME.

(And also sorry Hana, but I couldn't not put the pic up - it describes everything.)

Milan lost yesterday for one reason: the mid was shite. And the mid was shite for one reason: Ambrosini. He sucked 5 years ago, sucks now and will continue to suck in the future. He shouldn't even be on the bench for a team like Milan.

I agree with what Adam said about Pirlo and Kaka but I also think there are other issues. I posted the following in the Milan thread but it is the same theme as here:

Gutted not only because of the loss but because it is now clear this team is not working. Chris made pertinent remarks regarding Seedorf’s absence and the form of Pirlo but I feel there is good reason beyond, something deep and structural, as to why Pirlo was found out.
Milan were relying and hoping for an individual piece of brilliance from Kaka or Pato, there was no flow, no confidence in possession.Kaka and Pirlo in the same team means no width in midfield. No width in midfield means tireless, skilled and fast backup players are needed to make the team work creatively. That’s where Milan suffered. Gattuso is starting to tire, Ambrosini is starting to tire and Seedorf is past his best. Kaladze is not fast enough anymore and Maldini as brilliant as he is does not have the legs to sustain a high level for 90 mins. For Milan to keep playing Pirlo and Kaka in the same team we need new young holding players in midfield, players such as Aquilani, new left back or at least a fully fit Janka, and a top class forward, in the Benzema, Amauri or even Vucinic mold. What u guys think? I don’t know.

As with all defeats it is easy to have a knee-jerk reaction and say get rid of them all. However, Milan do need an update and that might start at the top with Ancelotti. Then a consistent young striker, playmaker to take pressure off Pirlo and replacement for Maldini need to top the shopping list.

For a follower of Milan, this is really poor. Whilst I feel they were the best side in Europe in 2003-2004-2005, they've made the classic mistake of not investing in new players with some sort of longevity and are now paying the price. I think it will need a radical and very costly overhaul that needs to happen over the next couple of years to get Milan back on track - and I don't mean the purchase of ageing Brazilian so-called "superstars" who are past their prime. Or the recall of an ageing, spent Ukranian. Sort it!!!

Why Milan lost ? Tactical error (my opinon though). Milan should not play an EXTREMELY high tempo game against a team full with young bloods like Arsenal. Except Kaka and Pato, every other Milan players have been completely exhausted their stamina nearing the end of the 2nd half. A bit disappointed to see Pirlo, the rythm-maker, kept on feeding long balls and quick passes. Eventhough Kalac on his best would not allow Fabregas to score such a goal.

come on moka carlo is one of the greatest coaches, and you cant put all the blame on him. pirlo was shit kaka was selfish. pato thought he was better than he actually was. plain and simple your team played like shit and outclassed by a stronger team. but i do think milan needs to get rid of their retirement home theme and bring in some more young talent, especially in the defence and they desperatly need a new goalie im thinking amelia.
