Unless the player is ridiculously horrible and is still cocky (not Balo) then it’s alright to have a little self/over-confidence. It’s what makes certain players fun to watch…

Kirby, it’s no secret that Balotelli has a pretty screwed up personality (and I have absolutely nothing against Inter). Francesco is right… he’s got all the tools to be the best striker in the world. But talent isn’t everything, one also needs a fair amount of luck and discipline to reach such heights. The luck? Remains to be seen. The discipline? At this point, I’d have to say no (and this also applies to Giovinco, although on a much lesser scale).

I watched the game yesterday and on Balotelli’s second goal, all I can think is that the Israeli defense thought he was going to run at the goal before shooting – notice how they are all just standing around watching.

Here is a quote for Balotelli Inter published on their web page:

“We’re a group of good lads and before this game I had said that we’re stronger than everybody, not just Israel. I scored two goals but I missed an easy one. It was a one-on-one in a counter-attack – even my dog would have scored it…”
