Holidays Mean No Internet. (And Some Adriano.)
By: Martha | December 21st, 2006
(You know what I just realized? Mancini plays Adriano because he hates him, and wants him to be humiliated. Seriously — there’s no other explanation. The man is not going to get fit playing in 30 minutes spurts, particularly in 30 minutes spent standing in the center circle, which is what it was yesterday. To go with his lack of fitness, the man has no confidence and has given the ball away in his head before it even arrives on his foot. The whole thing is just depressing — hopefully he’ll be either somewhere else come January, or will stumble upon a genie over the break and get his form back.)
ANYWAY, the point of this post is to share the sad news that I’ll soon be getting on a plane to go celebrate the holidays with my family. And, while this is of course good news, it also means that I won’t get to watch Saturday’s games, dammit, and won’t be posting again until Tuesday. My man Eugenio and I wish you all lovely holidays, and that you eat as much as is humanly possible. Or am I the only one who approaches holidays with that goal?
Oh, and if you’re looking for a gift for me? Just let inspiration strike.
See you all on the 26th!

Have a great holiday! I was supposed to be on a plane to Denver yesterday. Mother Nature had other plans. They’re now saying they’re booked but we can go out on the 25th.
*Sigh.* Merry freakin’ Christmas.

Oh, by the way. A little something for when you get back.
I read something in a French blog about Materazzi totally getting into the “It’s better to give than to receive” Christmas spirit and bestowing a headbutt on somebody. Any news on that?

Yeah, it was Mark Zoro (the African player who tried to stop a game last season because the Inter fans were so brutally racist) — but they couldn’t find video evidence so Matrix escaped, damn him! I wrote about it in one of those endless news roundup posts, I think …

Ah. Must’ve happened during our interminable power outage. I’ve had a hard time even keeping track of what day it is these past two weeks. I’ll check it out when I get back from Denver.
