Just So You Know, Inter Have Not Bought Suazo. Or Tevez. Wink, Wink.
By: Martha | May 16th, 2007
Despite press reports today that Cagliari’s David Suazo is on his way to the blue side of Milan, Massimo Moratti insisted this is not the case. Italian sports TV — as well as Tuttosport (Tuttosport, no less! And, since this isn’t Juve news, I guess it might actually be fact. Weird.) — is convinced the Honduran has been sold to Inter for a fee of about £8.5 million, though there’s no word yet on personal terms.
Moratti, however, denied the news on the Inter website today — sort of, anyway. When asked about the television reports, the President said “A few newspapers have announced it too, but the team or the club certainly haven’t.” Hmm. I daresay that’s carefully vague, isn’t it? There’s no “Please, we’ve not talked to Cagliari” in there anywhere, it’s more of a “Mhm. Patience, grasshopper” response than anything else. So, we probably shouldn’t be surprised when if he’s unveiled in a few weeks.
Disappointingly, no one asked Moratti about the reports he’s put in a huge bid for West Ham’s illegal goal machine, Carlos Tevez. Egged on by Tevez’s very chatty agent Kia Joorabchian, the British media are reporting Inter have offered an astonishing £25 million for the 23-year-old striker; discussions between Moratti and Joorabchian are allegedly already underway. And, irony of ironies, Tevez’s countryman Hernan Crespo has publicly offered to help convince the player to make the move. Aw. Little does Hernan know, Tevez is his replacement.

Tevez would certainly help to clean up Serie A’s reputation.
I can’t see a move to Inter happening, but money is money and the guy has talent.

He’ll probably be dragged to Chelsea this summer (kicking and screaming)…Posted from
