Just So You Know, Nothing is Marco Borriello’s Fault
By: Martha | March 22nd, 2007
Milan’s Marco Borriello (AKA That Guy Who Tested Positive For Drugs Because His Girlfriend Had An STD) has revealed that he is most distressed by the mean way the club have been treating him during his three month Ban of Shame, which ended yesterday. Apparently he feels Milan is somehow to blame for the fact that he put cream on his man parts and that, as a result, people in his hometown “went to my mother and told her that her son was a druggie.” Hee. What were the club supposed to do, exactly? Provide a secure perimeter for his mom’s house? Put big wads of cotton in hear ears for three months, hoping she wouldn’t find out? Come on, Marco. Ball up here, buddy.
In addition, he’s extremely peeved that the club had the nerve to leave him off their Champions League roster, despite the fact that he wouldn’t be available for all but the last few rounds of the tournament. If you ask Borriello, Ancelotti’s decision to leave him out (and give the spot to someone who would actually, you know, play) was a decision of epic stupidity, but the player is graciously giving him another chance: “Now I hope that the Coach will use a little common sense, perhaps giving me a few more chances to play in Serie A.” Well, if you want another chance, criticizing your gaffer in the press is a proven way to get it done — brilliant plan.
Let me give you a little tip here, Marco: This whole not playing thing? It’s not happening because the world is against you. It’s happening because your girlfriend is a skank. Deal with it.

I blame him for that photo too. It ruined my banana snack.

Actually, it’s happening because he’s a dumbass. Regardless of his girlfriend’s possible skankiness, Borriello is an idiot for not clearing the cream with a team doctor before he used it. These guys KNOW that there’s a whole long list of substances sometimes found in over the counter (and prescription) medications that can get them into trouble.
(I’m giving his girlfriend the benefit of doubt here because cortisone creams are prescribed for girl parts for non-STD reasons. So unless outright said she has herpes or something…)

I know you’re right, Lisa — you’re a better person that I am, though, because pretending she’s a skank is much more fun. (Albeit meaner.)

Nah, not a better person. Just irritated with him being such a pussy and letting his girlfriend take the blame for his dumbassery. (Apparently they’ve broken up.)

That’s what you get for eating at your computer, Bob.

The girlfriend must be embarassed, well, at least most girls would be. Looks like it may be back to a team like Treviso for Marco :(. He is fun to look at.

when the story originally broke it was reported that he use some cream on his penis however…the latest (and more likely story) for his positive test is actually even worse!
The story goes that his gf, Belen had a yeast infection as was using some cream down there to clear up the problem… now if you all recall the problem with Borriello’s drug test was that the amount of the banned substance he had in his system was enough to suggest that he had in fact ingested the substance….NOW I don’t think I need to paint a picture here for you all, but there are definitely some jokes to be made about an Italian soccer player being penalized for taking a dive! LOL

Ashley, thank you. I was thinking it was just me who’d seen that bit about the ingestion part. Of course, I hadn’t thought about HOW it got ingested. That’s hilarious.
(Martha, you were saying about me being a better person? Definitely not. A better person would in no way find it so funny that Borriello got in such trouble for being good to his girlfriend.)
