Kaka To Real, Take 409
By: Martha | February 9th, 2007
Despite Kaka’s and Milan’s oh-so-convincing mutual declarations of love late last year, the Spanish press is reporting today that the club might be willing to sacrifice a certain midfield genius on the alter of their Ronaldinho ambition. According to AS, Milan execs casually mentioned their interest in talking Kaka again this summer during the Ronaldo negotiations, envisioning a cash-and-swap deal that would bring them both bodies and, perhaps more importantly, money to give Barcelona for a far less pretty replacement Brazilian.
As for the bodies, the press seem to think the price will be rather high: How do Robinho (!), Fabio Cannavaro and Mahamadou Diarra strike you? PLUS cash? Damn. A young magician, a solid defensive midfielder (which, granted, Milan might not really need right now) and a great defender, plus a maybe-Ronaldinho? I’d think about that deal.
Really, I think everyone is just going to have to accept that either Kaka is going to end up at Real, or we will be talking about scenarios that could land him there until the day he dies. Or at least retires. This story is just never going to go away, no matter how many denials are issued.
And, in other news, Canna has joined the legion of players who supposedly want to go (back, in his case) to Juve. Yawn.

Oh good, Serie A has moved on from fan violence to recylced rumors. That is progress :-)

It’s recycled, but with a twist — Canna and Robinho were never in there before! Hell, at least it’s more creative than the endless recycling of the two facts in the Zizou-is-in-New York! story.

Canna back in Milan, but this time with the right club? Yes, please.
At this point, I wouldn’t mind him returning to Juve, either, if the fans there would be willing to forgive and forget (a well know Italian stereotype). I’m tired of the Spanish press blaming Canna for everything.

Oh Kaka, a real gem there, I wish he’ll stay at Milan for as long as I live. May be we can add Ronaldinho to the squad, yes that would be perfect, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Kaka upfront. Well, one can dream.
