Lazio were interested in Romanian keeper Bogdan Lobont for some time, he might be coming in the winter.

Also, Martha, I would like to write for a blog on The Offside, how would I go about getting some more information?

Mark, Pazzini's celebration is a response to Toni's -- Toni does that stupid ear thing, and in training at some point last year Pazzini developed the eye-pointing as an answer. Cute, huh?

Lazio DO have a younger keeper -- you may know him as that terrified kid who allowed Milan 142 goals a few weeks ago. That's why Ballota's still back there.

Elisa, I think Lazio are having such a hard time because they have a MASSIVE injury list -- the smallish squad would be stretched anyway by Europe, but right now they have barely enough healthy bodies to field a team once a week. I've not heard an update on Rocchi, but yesterday it was made to sound like a painful knock but one with which he can (and will have to) play. The Viola, I think, have a deep enough squad to survive, even with a few injuries. (Plus, obviously, their path through the group stage of the UEFA Cup is a whole lot easier than what Lazio are facing in the CL.)

What is with Pazzini's celebration gesture? Isn't that at least mildly rude?

Also, why doesn't Lazio get a goal-tender under the age of 65? I thought they were after Amelia for a while?

Ballota's really should be chasing kids off his lawn at this point.

To be honest there was alot of action or back and forth in the 2nd half but the defenses were immense. More games for both teams midweek. Is Europe too much for both teams? Lazio is looking like the walking dead out there. Is Rocchi seriously hurt?
