Bits and Pieces as You Try Not to Dream of Bobo
By: Martha | July 19th, 2007
•In his press conference today, Fiorentina manage Cesare Prandelli refused to confirm the Vieri deal (uh oh), but he did officially announce the signing of winger Franco Semioli from Chievo, a deal that’s been in the works for about a month and a half. Semioli has signed a four-year deal and will join the team in camp tomorrow for his big, official presentation blowout with the press.
•Julio Cruz? Wanting to leave Inter? NEVER! Who cares if he never plays? He wants to die in Milan, dammit.
•As we discussed earlier this month, Pierluigi Collini has officially been presented in his new position as designator of officials. One hopes this will be the end of people only getting to work if they’re nice to Juve.
•Lazio have apparently found a replacement for the retired Angelo Peruzzi in River Plate keeper Juan Pablo Carrizo. He’s only 23, second on the depth chart for the Argentine national team, and about to get Spanish citizenship, all of which mean he’s been chased by clubs all over Europe this summer. Lazio’s offer of €7.5 million (the most they’ve payed for anyone during the Lotito years) was enough to win River Plate over, and the €650,000/season five-year contract seems to have been deemed acceptable by Carrio, so he’s on his way to Rome.
•Depending on which Portuguese paper you read, Nuno Gomes is either about to join Carrizo at Lazio, or will never leave Benifica.
•You know all that stuff about bringing Ronaldinho or Samuel Eto’o to Milan for some sort of disgustingly large price? That was all just a little joke. Hee. That Adriano Galliani is such a card.

Isn’t he terrifying? I try not to judge (oh, who am I kidding) but, DAMN.
And yeah, it’s Andy Dick. I photoshopped a kit on him.

Here’s something less scary; France and Portugal playing ‘cops and robbers’ when they should be training:
http://www.juventus.com/it/news/fotogallery/zoom.aspx?LML_LANGUAGE_ID=0&TRS_ID=1204000&ID=11748&IMAGENAME=45.jpgtsk tsk… I bet Claudio was really angry when he caught them, and gave them each a long ‘time-out’ in separate corners.
There’s also a bunch of pics with Nocerino making-out on the field… what the hell is happening with my team?:

Who is this Rampulia character? Him I like. The ball-kissing boy (so to speak) sort of freaks me out. Man, your photographer is so pleasingly obsessive. Inter’s is very discerning, and Fiorentina’s homepage is so badly designed you can rarely even FIND the pictures.

Michelangelo Rampulla was a backup goalkeeper during the 90’s, and was always a fan favorite (which I’ve always thought is strange, he was never first choice). He was always close to the team, and after retirement he became the goalkeeping coach. He’s not currently listed on the staff so I’m not sure his role is today.
And no, I’m NOT touching your “ball-kissing boy” comment so don’t even get your hopes up… OK FINE. Nocerino was only hookin’ up with the ball because he wanted Trezzie to think he was busy; instead of working/training King David really gets distracted with horseplay and mischief (and long romantic walks around the park).

So, since you bastards won’t sell Nocerino, is he actually going to play this season, or will he just lie there on the stockpile of youngsters getting increasingly pissed off?
I’m not gonna lie: The thought of David Trezeguet engaging in either horseplay or long walks around the park with Juve’s youngsters freaks me out more than a little. Though that’s probably my pathological hatred for the little bitch more than anything else.

Claudio’s been known to trust young stars, so if Nocerino is still on the team at the start of the season, I think he’ll get some good playing time under his belt.
Speaking of Ranieri, check this out:
