Looking Ahead to Week 11, Or: Please, Milan — Do Something Resembling Anything
By: Martha | November 10th, 2006
Though I’m trying to rein in my excitement with a bit of reason, I’m nevertheless incredibly stoked for the Milan-Roma game tomorrow. The big question, of course, is if Milan can play like Milan, just for 90 minutes — if they produce the effortless possession game of which they are capable, and Roma are flowing like they can flow, the game will be magnificent even if it ends 0-0. If, however the Milan that shows up is the new, tired, toothless version, it’s just going to be sad.
There are actually a handful of potentially entertaining games this weekend, many of which are, shock of shocks, on TV in the US. In addition to Milan-Roma, we’ve got Fiorentina-Atalanta (the only exciting game NOT available here), Palermo-Torino and Parma-Inter, the last of which could be interesting since Parma might come out trying to grab all three points at home.
So, which games are in your schedule for the weekend? And I am the only who wanders around the apartment forlornly on Saturday, waiting for the first game to start? It makes me wish I lived on the west coast — you roll out of bed, and football is just started on the TV.
(What? Totti plays for Roma. Quit complaining.)
