Lots and Lots o’ News
By: Martha | March 1st, 2007
•Serse Cosmi is back! Huzzah! Granted, he’s in Serie B, but still — he’s around, and calcio will be better for it.
•Not content to (correctly) attack only referees, Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is now feuding with Milan’s Adriano Galliani. When Palermo henchman Director of Sports Rino Foschi went to the Milan team bus to congratulate them after the game yesterday, Galliani allegedly “insult[ed] him heavily,” accusing the Palermo organization of not being “men of football.” Ooooh burn! In response, Zamparini jumped up and began pounding his chest, telling the press “I don’t want to be [Galliani's] friend. We were hurt, he acted like a villain and rude man with Foschi.” Take that, Adriano. And thank you, Maurizio, for making the world a more entertaining place.
•Hey Zizou — Matrix is still waiting for your apology. Just so you know.
•Swamp rumors are all the rage these days, it appears: On one hand, you’ve got Vincenzo Montella’s agent denying that his client will go to Milan in any sort of deal for Alberto Gilardino Pippo Inzgahi (who looks nothing like Gila). On another, there’s the new wrinkle to today’s Canna rumor, which is that his possible move to Milan would take place as part of a master plan to get Kaka to Real. (Because you know everyone and his brother wants Kaka.) And, finally, on a third hand, there’s the new possibility that Alberto Gilardino will go to Juve in exchange for David Trezuguet, who is officially totally uninterested in staying in Turin. Got all that?
•And, finally, Mauro Camoranesi is angry. As usual.
Edit: Thanks to Louise for gently pointing out my complete idiocy.

Oh jeez, I’m already confused. Isn’t Gila already IN Milan? And it looks like that article is about Pippo going to Rome, not Gila.

Oh God bless it. That’s what I get from writing in a hurry. Thanks, Louise — I’ll go clean up the mess.

The Zizou — Matrix incident starts to remind me of primary school where you had to apologize in front of the teacher (now, come on shake hands!) when you threw sand at somebody (not that I’d ever done that).

Camo might just look angry. He always does. The only time I’ve ever seen him smile was during his world cup haircut (and he was back to looking pissed on the podium).
As for the crazy Palermo president, who uses the term “villain” to describe somebody? Aren’t villains the guys with creepy mustaches who tie young ladies to the train tracks in silent movies?

Clearly, Muddia, you haven’t heard about how Galliani spends his free time.
(Speaking of, WAG of the Week on the way in an hour.)

Muddia, you’re wrong. Camoranesi is TOTALLY smiling in the Brokeback Juve video where they’re on merry-go-round ponies and Trezeguet is grabbing his butt.
Just feeling a need to point this out.

Ok, well now I’m just uncomfortable. I want Satine to come back and talk about throwing sand. THAT I can identify with.

Okay, goal.com TOTALLY stole my “AS is just putting this rumor out there to facilitate Canna to Milan to eventually get Kaka” theory! I think they’re reading the blog (which would give them much more accurate info than they usually give).
Oh, and Canna’s agent says he’s not going anywhere. That means he’s out of Madrid June 1.

Okay, yeah, the butt-grabbing merry-go-round-riding comment was TOTALLY uncalled for. Sorry, it’s a caffeine thing. :-)

Yes, Jina, that’s the one. I’ve linked to it so much I figured everybody was tired of it by now. I’m a fan of French football, but I LOVE that video!!
