Lovely, Welcome Fluff, Or: A Ranking of WAGs

According to the ever-reliable Gazetta della Sport, British magazine Nuts (which, given that its website features a gallery called “Best New Boobs of 2007,” seems to rest somewhere between Playboy and FHM in the men’s magazine spectrum) recently ranked the “companions” of footballers in order of hotness, with Ryan Giggs’ elusive girlfriend Stacey Cooke topping the list. (Clearly Welshmen choose women differently than do Italians, because Google turns up not a single picture of her alone, clothed or otherwise. How boring is that?)

There are, however, several Italy-based significant others on the list, including Davide Bombardini’s porn-a-rific wife Giorgia Palmas, who came in a very respectable fifth and will inevatibly be a WAG of the Week sooner than later. Also bringing Italy glory through their presence in the top 10 are: Federica Ridolfi, the girlfriend of Juve’s Giuliano Giannichedda, and Fabiani Alexia, AKA the soon-to-be-Mrs. Alessio Tacchinardi, both of whom (though, to be fair, I can’t actually find a picture of Fabiani) are much hotter than Stacey Cooke. Plus, Kristen Pazik is 62nd on the list! I mean, please! Clearly the editors of Nuts — surely a fine, classy publication — have taste issues.
