sorry, this has nothing to do with italian or non – italian…the point is that milan needed defenders…yes, oddo had a rotten season, his balls sometimes could be seen in orbit but we needed a defender and to let him go was plain stupid….thanks, gf for the zambro point – have been saying that ad nauseum, we need people to fall back and defend, we do NOT need an attacking full back in a team bloody overflowing with attacking players….
what happened to the milan which bred world class defenders…read a funny comment somewhere on the offside today where they said having senderos play alongside maldini in his last season is an insult to the best defender in the world, its like having baresi play alongside titus bramble in his last season – lol!

Does it matter if they’re world cup champions?
Not at all.
That was two years ago, and two years can make a huge difference in some one’s career. Oddo isn’t what Milan want anymore, and foreign players may have better skill than Italians.
If you want to bitch about a team full of foreigners go to the Inter offside.

Yes. That the team should be owned by no less than the PM of the country while it enriches and strengthens foreigners while cutting or denying raises to Italian World Champions only heightens the irony for me.

When Oddo was on he was awesome, because unlike Zambro the man could flat out defend. What Zambro did in the attack Oddo counter on defense which is why he fit in nicely upon his arrival at Milan, but also in the lead up to the CL 07 final. The fact that Milan chose to let him leave on loan while retaining a guy like Janks is a prime example of team that has lost it’s way when it comes to make decisions appropriate for themselves and for the National Team, and now with Flamini bitching about playing D this move looks even more unintelligent.

It’s not karma or irony at all.
They just didn’t fit in, and had a bad season. They didn’t work well with the way the team was set up, and that was that.
