Pouting Report: Inzaghi Plays Nice, Caracciolo Cries Like a Little Girl
By: Martha | January 29th, 2007
It’s a little late to make the announcement, but, hey, Palermo fans? You should know you’re not allowed to boo Andrea Caracciolo, no matter how ineffectual his performances are. Because if you boo him, he’s going to show you his ability and maturity by leaving. Take that, haters!
According to the Italian press, Caracciolo — despite his sudden prominence in the Palermo team, what with the loss of Amauri and all — has already agreed terms with Torino and has been hanging a possible transfer over the head of anyone in Sicily who dares to piss him off. Not only that, but he outright refused to train with the team on Sunday, apparently in order to devote all of his time to pouting. Christ. Nothing but class right there, kids — watch and learn.
To make matters even worse, Palermo won’t let the little bastard go for less than £5.7 million, an amount Torino are reportedly not willing to spend. Here’s hoping Guidolin has the balls (and the authority) to let Caracciolo spend the next few games on the bench — it’s not like he’s producing, anyway, and if he doesn’t want to play for the team, he shouldn’t have to, the poor boy. Me? Bitter? please.
In Milan, meanwhile, Pippo Inzaghi has done a full 180 and is graciously welcoming the Rotund One to the San Siro, saying “Players who help us are always welcome.” Uh huh. We’ll see how gracious he is the first time Ronaldo takes his place on the teamsheet.
