Quick Friday News Roundup

•Maybe Roberto Mancini really has had a change of heart — he’s talking again about bringing more Italian players to Inter. Curiouser and curiouser! You don’t think Azzurri gaffer Roberto Donadoni got to him, do you? He was talking earlier this week about how he’d like to see “a bluer Inter.”
•Don’t forget Cristiano Lucarelli’s lecture at UCL is coming up on Monday! If anyone in London goes — the event will be held at the JZ Young Lecture Theatre on Gower Street — leave a comment and tell us all about it. Hell, we could even post your report, especially if you ask him about leaving Livorno.
•As Bob reported this morning, a disgruntled Milan fan put Dida up for sale on the Italian eBay yesterday. Disappointingly, the auction was yanked down before a)we could see it, or b)the sale could be completed. What’s shipping run these days for a giant Brazilian?
•If you’ve always wanted your very own football club and the ability to hire and fire the same guy over and over again, here’s your chance: Messina is for sale. While President Pietro Franza evidently isn’t looking to entirely remove himself from the club, he plans to resign from the presidency and sell a large percentage of his shares to suckers investors. Boy, that sounds like a great property: A small club in trouble, more than likely to spend next season in Serie B. Hell, where else would you put your life savings?
•Calling all Italian-speakers! La Repubblica seems to have excerpted some of the tapped phone calls that were involved in the Calciopoli trials, so you can hear for yourself what dirty things Luciano Moggi was whispering in the ear of the referee designator.
•Finally: You may not have heard, but the Rome derby is this weekend. Totti is supposedly a doubt but, given the whupping Lazio put on Roma in the first meeting, he’ll play if he can stand up.
