Real Honestly Seem to Want Adriano. Crazy Basatards.
By: Martha | June 7th, 2007
Though the reports will doubtless be denied before this post even goes live, word from Spain today is that Adriano’s agent Gilmar Rinaldi recently met with Real Madrid sporting director — and former Adriano teammate — Predrag Mijatovic over the Brazilian’s potential move to Spain. The obvious implication here is that Real are still not over their affection for Mr. Partypants, a foolish love that Inter will surely do their damnedest to encourage.
According to the Spanish press, Real see Adriano as a possible backup for Ruud van Nistelrooy, a man whose giant, horsey face size and stature are not currently replicated by anyone on their bench. Though the club are still in the throws of an impossibly exciting La Liga title chase, the understanding is that Rinaldi will spend the next could of weeks sweet-talking Massimo Moratti in an effort to convince him to sell his client.
Despite Moratti’s earlier insistence that the Brazilian will stay at Inter no matter what (as well as the player’s own echoing of those statements), it’s virtually impossible to imagine the president clinging to Adrian if the price was right, particularly with Crespo’s stay now confirmed. And, for Adriano’s part, he couldn’t possibly resist: Fewer Argentines to deal with, clubs that never close, and a language that at least sort of resembles Portuguese — what’s not to love?

NOOOOOOO! Is Predrag insane? We do not need the overweight party boy. He will be a bad influence on Robinho and Cicinho. Please say this is another BS rumor. I think I’m gunna get sick.
