Ronaldo in Milan; Berlusconi Tents Fingers Mr. Burns Style and Mutters “Eeeeexcellent”
By: Martha | January 25th, 2007
Various sources — including irritated commenter RomaPete (whose irritation might stem more from his team’s falling behind 2-0 after 20 minutes than anything Ronaldo is doing) — are reporting that Ronaldo is at the San Siro as we speak, watching Milan play Roma in a Coppa Italia semi. For those of you who like a timetable with your transfers, the Milan website offers these crucial details: “Ronaldo flew out of Madrid a little after 6pm CET and arrived in Milan at 8.15pm.” Now you can figure out what you were doing when Ronaldo first set foot in the city as an (almost) Milan player! (Working? Yeah, me too.)
The current plan is for the porky one to have a physical with Milan tomorrow, but it seems he’ll remain a Real player at least through the weekend: Adriano Galliani will be too busy wrapping gifts and hosting decadent “Welcome, Oddo and Ronaldo!” dinners to meet with Real officials until Monday. According to a Milan release, however, the final meeting is a mere formality — all the details have already been worked out.
Pippi Inzaghi, meanwhile, scored in the first half of the match. I like to think he then turned to the stand and threw a throat-cutting gesture in Rolando’s Ronaldo’s direction while screaming “Oh, it’s on now, bitch” in Italian.
