Ronaldo is So Close Ancelotti Can Almost Taste Him. So to Speak.

By: Martha | January 25th, 2007

Ronaldo, aka the porksterMajor press outlets (meaning things like the International Herald Tribune, as opposed to the football gossip rags we all love so much) are reporting this morning that Milan and Real Madrid have agreed a fee for the fat Ronaldo; the player will head east as soon as an official offer sheet arrives from Milan. Though the Italian club were resisting paying anything for the strikers as late as yesterday, reports indicate the agreed-upon amount is around €6-7 million, a fee that, while it’s within shouting distance of Real’s original demands, is a far cry from the €22 million Milan offered for Ronaldo over the summer.

Word on the street is that the porky one could undergo a physical as early as this afternoon and, one supposes, could be in the team for this weekend’s match against Ascoli. His evident lack of fitness will obviously keep him from featuring much early on, but any time he sees will probably be enough to send Pippo Inzaghi into full tilt. (For that reason alone, his arrival should be a source of great entertainment, even if great football fails to follow.)

rumor is that R. Oliveira is being pushed towards Villarreal until June, to make room in the line-up for Ronaldo…. while Milan do need another striker (thanks to Borriello’s stupidity) they have maxed out their non-EU quota…

this fat guy better be worth it! Has anyone seen how well Ronaldo and Kaka play together?

Ashley, have you seen that story anywhere but Tribal Football? I saw it but was an unable to find it in an even slightly reliable source. (Whether it’s happening or not, it’s a great idea. The guy has been utterly useless so far.)

    ha, hi there,
i won’t be surprised to see pippo’s anger get pushed even further, since Ronaldo wears number 9 jersey which is worn by Pippo right now.

And, for the very latest, he is at this moment at San Siro, with various and sundry agents of Satan, for the Coppa Italia match between Milan (ptui) and Roma.
