Some interesting numbers from the Serie A standings at this point:

- Udinese (+14), Samp (+10), Genoa (Serie B) and Napoli (Serie B) have considerably improved since the same time last season. I'm not including Juve since you can't consider them newly promoted in Serie A, given their budget, roster, and experience, so their 3rd place is no big surprise.

- Lazio (-24), Empoli (-20), Reggina (-11) and surprisingly Inter (-12) are doing considerably worse right now than at the same point last year.

- The goal difference of either Inter, Roma, or Juve is greater than the total number of goals scored by Livorno

- The 4 current top teams (Inter 65, Roma 69, Juve 68, Milan 61) have scored on average almost twice as many goals as the 3 current bottom teams (Parma 41, Empoli 27, Livorno 34).

Nice - thank you for a great roundup!

I have the best I could hope for out of this last month of the season. I don't care about Milan's CL chances anymore. It just feels great to have won a big match. [THE big match.]

Forza Milan!! So happy just to have finally won the derby again, let alone slip in to fourth.

Feel sorry for la viola, they really deserve CL after the last few seasons, what a horrid week to go from potentially winning a UEFA Cup and qualifying for CL to being dumped out of UEFA Cup and losing their grip on CL in what 4 days!!

Mutu's send-off will be telling, still if they pip Milan at the last no one can say they didn't deserve it.

Still, i want my rossoneri to steal fourth off them.
