Serie A Weekend Round-up: Giornata 11
By: Francesco | November 2nd, 2009
Napoli won vs. Juventus in Torino for the first time since November 20, 1988, when Maradona’s Napoli won 5-3. Since then, there had been 11 wins and 5 ties, and Napoli hadn’t scored in Torino since March of 1998. This Napoli side has been rejuvenated under Walter Mazzarri, and they have shown they have a never say die attitude that keeps them working for the full 90 minutes. If Napoli can ride this wave of enthusiasm and keep playing like they have these past 3 games, they should have no problem finishing in the higher places in the table by the end of the season. Round-up after the jump.

I hate the English names of Italian cities, it ruins the beautiful Italian name, so I always use the Italian name. Turin is so bad. I prefer Torino. I never say Naples, I always say Napoli. etc.

One of my friends, a very talented violinist, went touring Italy in high school with some special group. Most of my friends are of some Italian descent back home, he’s a Russian Jew though. Smart guy, but he told me in Firenze he walked up to a store owner of some tacky tourist stuff and asked why he didn’t have any shirts or anything with “Florence” on them.
Also, I really hate Hamsik. You’re not in 7th grade anymore, what is with the hair?

Also man were those school trips always a rip off. Go to Toronto, about 2 hours away, and somehow it’d cost $500 for 2 days.
