Serie A Weekend Round-up: Giornata 18

By: Francesco | January 13th, 2009

How great it was to have Serie A back after the winter break. I missed my weekly calcio fix. Roma-Milan highlighted the return of Serie A. Both teams desperate for the 3 points, as Roma wanted to inch closer to the top half of the table and Milan wanted to get closer to Juventus and Inter. The game of course was overshadowed by the big Beckham circus, but the play on the field was beautiful, with both teams fighting hard and playing to an entertaining 2-2 draw. The two strikers of each side, Pato and Mirko Vucinic, both grabbed braces, and both can truly improve a lot more in the future and truly become world class. Full results after the jump.

De Rossi’s move before the pass to Riise was beastly.
    Completely shook Ronnie.
