Serie A Weekend Round-up: Giornata 19 + Oscar Del Calcio Winners

By: Francesco | January 19th, 2009

FRANCESCO’S SERIE A GOALS OF THE WEEK

Julio Baptista vs. Torino – The Brazilian gifts Roma 3 points with this beautiful bicycle kick in stoppage time. Excellent goal from “La Bestia”.

Bosko Jankovic vs. Lecce – The Serbian midfielder finishes with a cheeky heel flick to put Genoa ahead 1-0. In the post-match interview, Jankovic said he has scored even better goals than this in his career. No small feat.

Sergio Floccari vs. Inter – Floccari puts Atalanta ahead of Inter with a nice goal. Doni heads it down to the striker who turns excellently around Maxwell and puts it past Julio Cesar.

Ezequiel Lavezzi vs. Chievo – El Pocho scores a typical Lavezzi goal, slaloming in the area and finishing past Sorrentino.

Christian Ledesma vs. Juventus – Call it a fluke or an error by Manninger, but that doesn’t take away the fact that Ledesma hit a nice free kick from the left wing that curled into the net.

Nice write up Francesco. I’m surprised to see no Roma players on the Oscar winners list, but I may be a bit biased.

Baptista’s goal was really nice…I still have to give it to Bosko though, for that audacious gol di tacco.
