i just assumed chris. anyways, i don't think there's much hope of him straightening things out ever. which is really a shame because i think he could be the second attacking player in serie a after totti. he's in his mid 20's doing the type of things young boys do

I can see his talent and appreciate it but I dont like him as a player (not talking about the cassanati) and I cannot pinpoint it why. Maybe because he has moments of brilliance that mounts to nothingness at the end of the day, I just dont like a waste.

Ah, the times when the San Nicola was filled with more than 2000 spectators. That's one of the things that strike me most, next to the fact that this is almost ten years ago...

I have no feelings of ill will towards Cassano whatsoever - he's a child in a man's body. Where the hell did you get anything to the contrary?

red card risk? whatever, we had two earlyish reds in WC 2006 and still won the damn thing! we could probably overcome a little cassanata. oh and chris i think you're feelings about cassano is like a guy who dumped a crazy but smoking hot girlfriend. on the surface you can't stand cassano, but deep down you're still jonesing for him

Also, I feel that he was sort of "babied" while with Roma.

I'm not blaming his "nature" on that, but it was definitley a factor.

He grew up in Bari, which is a tough place to be. As a kid, he was rough and got into a lot of fights. So, I think, that's were it all steams from.

But the babying (sp?) at Roma did "aid" it on.

I'm one of the biggest Cassano supporters out there, and he has been my favorite player for a while now. (Actually, he's just behind Zanetti.) And I have made that known.

What I'm about to say may anger some people, but I don't care. This is how I truly feel.

"Natural" talent wise, he is one of the greatest ever to walk thise earth. Put him up there with Maradona and Pele. He just makes it seem so effortless. Compared to guys like C-Ron who have to do all this shaking and baking to get by a defender. (I'm not saying C-Ron isn't good. He is.) With Cassano, he makes it seem like they let him go by them. Amazing.

Sadly, his physco (sp?) mind has lead him away from his top potential. (Suprisingly, this is one of my favorite qualities about him. Too many people are "actors" now, trying to be the next role model. This guy lets it all hang out for the world to see.) If he wasn't so "crazy", he would EAISLY (sp?) be the BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD.

He can still play with the best of them, and I would pick him to watch over any player in the world. Right now, his still the best in the world "natural" talent wise. However, as a complete player, you may find a little farther down the list.

He's creative, exciting, and un-predictable. I love him. My dream? See him wearing that blue jersey yet again.
