To Quote Bjork, It’s Oh So Quiet. And I Don’t Like it One Bit.
By: Martha | June 28th, 2007
After several days of major-story frenzy, things have been disconcertingly quiet on the transfer front lately. How can we truly enjoy the Silly Season if it’s made up entirely of drifting rumors about the odd Romanian defender or exorbitantly-priced African striker? We need chaos and controversy, and we need it now!
Sure, sure — Adriano Galliani is trying to do his part by teasing Milan fans about a pending “major striker signing.” But, come on — if he really wanted to help he’d sneak into Samuel Eto’o’s house with a suitcase full of money, and smuggle the man out of Barcelona before Jose Mourinho even had a chance to make an offer. That’s the sort of action we need! Instead, we’re left with Roma being “interested” in Barca’s latest Chivu offer, bits and pieces of vague nonsense about Quagliarella (How have I learned how to spell his name with nothing happening?), a crappy attempt to extort some money from Adriano, and mutterings about Oliveira leaving Milan (You don’t say.)
Come on, people — get on with it! Poach a player! Splash some cash! Because, at the moment, the biggest story to come out if Italy in the last few days is the news that they’re having a lot of really bad sex, and that’s just not good for anybody.

On the off-chance that anyone but me is reading this, the Powers that Be have made some back-end changes, one of which is that I am currently unable to log in, let alone write anything. So, if anything thrilling happens in the next few hours, imagine me writing insightful things about it. Hopefully I’ll be back before the end of the day.

Martha, if you really have an emergency and Lui-sh Figo gets sent to the Viola in order to form large sweaty manpiles wth Adrian Mutu, you can borrow the Azzurri page over at the WC site - which still works. Just remember to fill up the tank on the way back.
(I can’t sign in either.)

Galliani opened the Milan doors to Cassano today…we’ll see how that develops…

Damn the blog, there is so much news and I have to vent it here!
Galliani like Cassano, but Cassano doesn’t like Milan. Why does everyone not like Milan but is OK with Inter, I just don’t get it. I bet Adriano throws some great parties.
Galliani also likes Enzo Maresca, an italian export in Spain, but he to will probably prefer Inter to AC.

calderon opened the door, capelli saw his way out, while capello walked out calderon yelled out “thanks for the title”, capello continued walking realizing he had just been screwed over…
he wins the la liga title with real madrid and is then sacked so no one’s position is safe anymore…Posted from

Chris, I do appreciate the offer. But when that glorious scenario takes place (if it hasn’t already — perhaps that’s what the “argument gay” was all about?) they’ll do their damnedest to keep it from getting into the press. I, however, will find out. And, if there are pictures, they may just go up on the Italy blog, under your name. (To throw the feds off my scent, you understand.)
