Week 9, Or: Juve, Meet Karma

Everyone at Juventus is convulsing with indignation (That’s for you, Chris.) today after falling victim to two patently awful penalty decisions on Saturday and losing 3-1 to Napoli. Outside of Turin, meanwhile, the entire calcio world is chortling with glee at Juve finally getting a taste of their own medicine — the only thing that could have made it better would have been Pavel Nedved on the field and not suspended, because he would have absolutely melted down in the face of such terrible injustice. Ah well, we can’t have everything.
As a result of the loss, Juve were overtaken in the table by both Roma, who were the only team in the top four to win this weekend and now sit second, three points behind Inter, and Fiorentina, whose draw with Genoa pull them into a tie with Juve for third. Poor Milan, meanwhile, lost again and are still on 10 points, just two clear of the drop zone and behind such illustrious clubs as Catania and Torino. Oh dear, oh dear.
Apart from Milan’s steady slip in that direction, nothing much has changed at the bottom of the table. Old, reliable Livorno are still rooted to the bottom on two points, while Reggina and Siena, the two teams above them, drew, thus inching a little bit further away (Reggina have five points, while Siena have seven). Just above that trio are Empoli and Cagliari, both of whom lost and remained on eight points, and Parma, whose hard-fought win over Livorno left them with nine points and mercifully clear of the drop zone.

Catania - Sampdoria 2-0: Antonio Cassano was healthy enough to start and then a)got hurt again, and b)got into a shouting match with Vincenzo Montella. God, it’s good to have him back.
Empoli - Atalanta 0-1
Genoa - Fiorentina 0-0
Lazio - Udinese 0-1: Marco Ballotta is 100 years old and a complete stud (Which begs the question: Why the hell wasn’t he in the net against Milan?), it’s just too bad his team refuses to score any goals for him.
Milan - Roma 0-1
Napoli - Juventus 3-1
Palermo - Inter 0-0
Parma - Livorno 3-2
Siena - Reggina 0-0
Torino - Cagliari 2-0: Yeah, that was Eugenio Corini spreading class all over the field for Torino. Don’t even pretend you’re surprised.

I am purelly disgusted at Milan’s play. I refuse to watch any more of their Serie A matches this season untill they start to win. This is pathetic. They have 12 shots just wide of the net against Roma. They had ATROCIOUS passing. It was pure sh!t. I’m sick of it. Something needs to happen. Trades need to go down, goals need to be scored, passing needs to be improved. The only thing i can look forward to now is mid-weed CL matches and international breaks. Even then, the CL matches are unpredictable with Milan, and so are the international breaks. Pure crap. I’m sick of this, really.

I need more Torino in my life. Any idea if the game is downloadable somewhere? (Yeah, I realize I’m probably the only person in history looking to DL a day old Torino game)

I realize I keep saying this, but seria.tv has everything that’s not a Napoli home game. You can watch them whenever you want, including Torino.

And damn, Mele, that’s how I feel, but I’m not a Milan fan. It’s so odd that they’re proudly resolving not to change anything — I don’t suppose that makes you feel any better?

Yeah Martha, that really doesn’t help. They’re all just sitting there doing the same old shit. Carletto keeps screwing around, with his “no first team, just 23 players” bullsh!t. I mean that can be good, but only when you actually have 23 players who can work together and SCORE GOALS. January I want a new keeper, new CB’s, and at least one striker. That is what I want for a Christmas present. Oh, and Lippi to come and coach Milan. Or the Azzuri. =P
