His last game as an Azzurri was a World Cup Win. The last time he walked off the field as a memeber it was with a trophy in hand. He once said that in 1982, he was a boy partying in the streets after the World Cup and remembered how much it meant to the people. He said that he wanted to be part of a side that brought the same joy to the people of Italy and he was. It doesn't get any better than walking off the field as a World Champion. That being said, he doesn't have to be such an ass about the way he does things. He could just say that, or whatever else the reason might be. But he has a rep to uphold. He is ER PUPONE.
