I guess that unless he scores over 30 goals this season, this effectively ends Trezeguet's career in "Les Bleus" for as long as Domenech remains at the head. But maybe he had already given up hope, since I guess the coach never really liked him (if you judge by how often he utilized him during the World Cup, and the reason why he dropped him after that).

On the other hand I'm glad to notice that along with the FFF administration and Michel Platini, everyone is siding with "sanity" on the whole Domenech issue. The rest of the French national team probably thinks the same, but are keeping their mouth shut because they want to remain on the team...

Does thinking he's right for a change mean I have to respect him a little now?

(Joe, you might need to calm down a bit. Admiring his negotiating skills?)

Joe and TMC, those are my feeling EXACTLY. I despise the man, and then he comes out with something intelligent and spot-on like this. Yech. What's that saying about blind squirrels?

Bastard. Trezeguet put me in the position of having to take his side. Good God, I think I have to shower. I'm agreeing with a French National team member (and a prominent one at that) who plays for Juventus.

Christ, next thing I'll find myself admiring the way Trez negotiates for playing time, salary, new contracts, more hoes, etc... in the press. Man, I need to walk away from the computer. I have serious cognitive dissonance.

wow you know i always knew he had this in him...somewhere...what he said took guts but i kinda expected it seeing as domenech and trez have never really gotten along especially after domenech said he didnt pick trez for the euro qualifiers b/c trez was playing in serie b...which lead to buffon, DP, & nedved lashing out at him along with trez but domenech should be used to being told off as he tends to get himself into these situations

Since I'm ordinarily quick to slam Trez for generally acting like a spoiled brat, I have to give him credit here.

Good job to stand up to his manager's idiotic comments, and they are especially well informed in this case due to his many years of playing in Italy and the fact that he experienced much of the Calciopoli scandal first-hand at Juve. Who knows if and when he'll get picked for the French side, but it takes some balls to publicly criticize your coach, even when you are right.
