Francesco — you left out the hairy bit where Trezeguet accidentally made the international sign for I hate accountants (if anyone gets that reference I will be stunned), ala Dr Stangelove and his arm with a mind of its own. Negotiations, however, were salvaged when Pavel Nedved burst into the room and did a quick song and dance routine, successfully distracting everyone from the offense and allowed Trez to sneak out with his money.

Franco, you’re a genius! If all negotiations were conducted in that manner, I’m sure there would never have been any confusion over where Suazo will play next year.

They probably negotiated the whole deal in hand gestures. Juve gave a gesture that said “what do you want?”. Trez made the “show me the money” gesture with his hand. Juventus proceeded to write up a contract and then gave it to him and gave him the “writing with a pen” gesture. Trez then looked it over, gave them a “thumbs up”, and signed. Then they shook hands. And not a word was spoken.

I would have thought that Arsenal’s Wenger would have wanted to replace Henry with Trezzie… But apparently not even Arse would spend money on Princess David, so I guess all hopes of cashing in on him are over.

Oh well, at least he’s good for like 19 goals and will hopefully add some extra drama; plus he can draw public attention to traditional Italian hand gestures, like this one:
