Video of the Week: Lavezzi vs. Cassano- Spectacle at the San Paolo

By: Francesco | November 7th, 2008

If you find yourself watching the Serie A game of your choice this Sunday and start yawning (not due to tiredness but due to the boredom of the game), try and find a way to switch over to Napoli-Sampdoria. With Ezequiel Lavezzi leading the Partenopei and Antonio Cassano leading the Blucerchiati, there should be fireworks. Lavezzi and Cassano are two of the most fanciful players in Serie A, the players that make a ticket worth buying. They are both players that can change the game at any moment and make the crowd go wild. It should be good to watch. 20 years ago in Napoli-Sampdoria you would witness the great Argentine-Italian duel of Diego Maradona vs. Roberto Mancini, and now 20 years later both fans can enjoy another great Argentine-Italian duel: Ezequiel Lavezzi vs. Antonio Cassano. After the jump we’ll enjoy some videos:

I actually found a Lavezzi v. Cassano video on youtube, but it’s not that great:

here are just two compilation videos of both players:

Ezequiel Lavezzi

Antonio Cassano

I gotta question for you all, Stan Collymore said on Setanta’s football show during the week that if you want to win a league youve got to have quality up the middle, ie. Quality main striker, quality main central midfielder, Quality main central defender and quality GK.
I was wondering, based on this equation, how does everyone rate the top clubs, lets say Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma, Fiorentina and Napoli. Im going to do my own write up of this on my own blog but was interested to hear what you all thought.

Cassano is such a talent. I wish he’d have the chance to go back to ROMA. What a tandem he would form with Totti and the rest of the team…..sick!
