his 2 goals comment can be easily traced to galliani.. he is a kid, he will do what he is told to, and i wont be surprised if that what he was told to say…

if he was a cocky little bastard, cynicism would be understandable, but i honestly think that it was galliani’s doing rather than him being cocky…

but dont be surprised with all the enthusiasm… he may be just a kid, but its the only thing a lot of milan fans have had to look forward to because our season has been atrocious… well that and the club world cup, but that was so short, we needed more… and i think that is the main reason behind the hype… i hope the hype dies down, for pato’s sake, he should be allowed to grow in peace…

Pato was a blast to watch yesterday and the game itself was quite entertaining! Pato may not score “30″ goals in the next few months but seeing him play along side Ronaldo, assuming his husky frame holds up, and Kaka should be quite entertaining!

Gilardino will most probably leave this summer, especially if he misses out on Euro 2008 (which looks very likely)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Milan offer him to Fiorentina for Frey.

I thought it was rather bold of Pato to declare 2 goals but the kid does have some raw talent. He needs to still work on his finishing a bit. He could have had 5 goals easy yesterday. And what does this all mean for Gillardino?

Yesterday’s Pato show was a joy to watch… Normally I’m the first to criticize a team with so many mercenaries, but really no one should complain about this Milan. The team is made up of basically half of the two best national teams in the world, Italy and Brazil.

And Pato looked great yesterday, playing with complete confidence and determination. Before the game I thought that the Duck was over-hyped and destined for failure, but he had a dream debut. I also enjoyed the several moments where, to counter the many many whistles by the strong Napoli support at the stadium, the Milan fans sang “Ole Ole Ole, Pato, Pato” to encourage their little Launchpad McQuack.

That game was beautiful though… and what a first goal by Napoli!

Forestieri is definitely one to watch. Genoa poached him from Argentina at the young age of 15 and he entered their youth set-up. He made his first team debut at 16 and then was the star at last year’s Viareggio Youth Tournament. For some reason they got rid of him this summer, which is surprising because he’s so promising. He has also chosen to play for Italy, something he re-iterated when interviewed yesterday.

His record with the Italian youth sides is not bad at all- 12 appearances, 7 goals.
