They weren't even trying. As much as they are denying it, they are focused on the Valencia match. They couldn't have cared less about yesterday's game. Their objective was to not get hurt and/or waste as little energy as possible. I mean the only time I saw someone make a good, hard run was Maxwell just after coming on. That burst resulted in his cross being finished by Crespo. I expect the same from them on Saturday against Livorno. Of course these are just my opinions, but I am pretty certain they have no intentions of bowing out of the Champions League just yet. These 2 Serie A games they have to play before the Valencia match were/are just going to be foramlities to them. They have to show up to play them. I don't think they are worried about the result.
