1) While I certainly wouldn't put it past Ibra to have said such things (although why there's such a furor about it I don't know; since almost every player who gets substituted is pissed about it, unless they're injured), I'm not sure how the Italian media lipreaders were able to lipread this, since my Swedish friend who could hear what he was saying was having a delightful time translating what he was muttering -- in Swedish.

2) Seedorf claims he asked to be substituted -- he pulled a thigh muscle, or some such thing, and felt he couldn't/shouldn't continue. It probably lost us the game, I agree, but it doesn't seem to be Ancelotti's fault.

Ionel, I think everyone agrees Seedorf shouldn't have come off, but I'm not sure it was an option - I seem to recall hearing Seedorf may have tweaked something. Even if not, he had just been hurt and missed the CL matchup. Taking him off after an injury, even if he was Milan's best player, is totally justifiable.

In regard to the Roma-Milan match, I agreed with the announcer that it was a mistake to pull Seedorf from the match. He was having an excellent game, creating a lot of headaches for Roma and opportunities for Milan. The game seemed to shift as soon as he was substituted. Anyone else think so?

If it wasn't for Moratti's blind faith in Mancini's team-leading abilities, I'd say the sh*t's about to hit the fan at Inter.

Oh, wait...

Plus there was the horrid own goal. Technically it was a Julio Caesar error, but it bounced off Marco so there you go.

Two bad collisions. From what it looked like on TV, he was actually out cold at some point.

(And then he got on with the job and got himself booked shortly afterwards, so I presume he's OK.)

Why does Matrix need Advil? (Didn't see the game, haven't read a detailed match report yet. Bad collision?)
