What Serie A Players/Managers are asking Santa for…
By: Francesco | December 24th, 2008
First and foremost I’d like to wish a Happy Holidays to everyone. I hope its a great time for everyone, and I’d like to thank everyone for reading my thoughts on Italian calcio. Due to the holiday season, this will be the last post until around January 5th, where I will resume blogging and bring you those great transfer rumors that will be all over the news once the transfer window opens. I thought we’d find out what some Serie A players and managers are asking Santa for this year. Find out after the jump.
Adriano is hoping Santa brings him a plane ticket to another country, so that he can transfer to another club and restart his career.
Francesco Totti just wants some goold old fashioned health. Injury free almost his whole career, after this happened in 2006 he has been more and more injury prone and constantly is stopped by injury.
Ronaldinho is hoping he gets a treadmill, so he can get into shape and actually start running at defenders instead of playing football standing still.
Amauri is hoping Dunga finally calls him up next year or the Italian passport office speeds up his application so he can play some international football.
Antonio Cassano wants Sampdoria to spend some money next month so all his countless assists don’t keep going to waste. He also needs to send Marcello Lippi a gift basket or something so he can get back into the national team set-up.
Carlo Ancelotti is hoping a young defender or midfielder (or maybe both, that would be the best present!) arrives in January to solve some problems Milan has been having.
Sebastian Giovinco is going to buy a blanket so he can keep warm on the Juventus bench in the cold months ahead.
Jose Mourinho is asking that another Inter striker starts scoring goals regularly besides Zlatan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants people in Europe to realize he’s a great player too.
Claudio Ranieri is going to buy some wrinkle cream so people will stop thinking he is actually 70 years old and look his real age (57).
Maurizio Zamparini is still looking for someone to buy Palermo from him, but we all know he’ll still be in charge for years to come.
Alberto Gilardino wants Milan to finally admit they regret letting him go.
David Trezeguet wants Amauri to stop scoring, so that when he comes back from injury it will be easier for him to start again.
Massimiliano Allegri is hoping he doesn’t face the same fate as Davide Ballardini after performing yet another Cagliari miracle.
Pasquale Marino wants the reason why Udinese have been performing so bad lately.
Walter Zenga wants Catania to perform the way they did in the first part of the season after the break as well.
Edy Reja is hoping every club redesigns their stadium to look like the Stadio San Paolo, because he figures maybe that way they won’t feel like they are playing away from home and perform badly.
Torino fans just want their team to live up to their potential and stop hanging around in the relegation zone.
Sinisa Mihajlovic hopes to get more than 1 point in most games Bologna plays next year.
Domenico Di Carlo is hoping he doesn’t bring Chievo to Serie B just like he did with Parma last season.
Mario Berretta is still wondering why Siena fired him last summer.
Marco Giampaolo hopes he doesn’t face the same fate as Berretta this summer.
Lillo Foti is hoping his latest gamble to name Beppe Pillon his new Reggina manager will provide him with his annual great escape from relegation.
And finally, can somebody please buy Adriano Galliani some dancing lessons?
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
