Yet Another “Sort Yourself, Out, Son” Talk for Adriano
By: Martha | May 12th, 2007
Since apparently the warning from the Brazil staff and his time in the Inter doghouse didn’t take, Adriano received yet another stern admonition about his behavior today, this time from Roberto Mancini. Yes, again.
In the press conference before Sunday’s match against Lazio (in which the supposedly injured Adriano won’t play), the gaffer essentially told the world the Brazilian won’t be at Inter next season unless he grows up and learns how to behave. I mean, he used more positive terms than that, claiming to be confident “he can be the Adriano of old” but then refusing to confirm the striker’s status with the club, saying only “we will wait until the end of the season and see what happens, as we have a few different situations to take into account.” In other words, “Blah blah Real will totally take him off our hands blah blah blah.”
Furthermore, according to La Gazzatta dello Sport, Inter and Cagliari have already worked out a £10.5 million (plus a youth player or two) deal to bring Honduran striker David Suazo to Milan. Suazo, though slightly older than the Brazilian, is shorter, faster and less drunk than Adriano, so his presence would probably be a welcome relief for Mancini.

me and some other associates said David should go to a bigger club. Inter would be good.

I love him, but I so wish he would get it together.
