Today I was doing my usual calcio news surfing and I saw something on calciomercato.com that made me laugh. The headline read “Roma, Incidente Rosi” (Incident for Roma’s young full-back Aleandro Rosi) in bold letters. Then, as I switched my focus to the subtitle underneath the bold letters it said, “Stung by a bee in training“. That’s when I laughed. You know it’s the preseason and there’s nothing to report about when your reporting about players getting stung by bees! The full article is equally ridiculous:
“Aleandro Rosi, returned from his loan at Livorno, was stung by a bee while he was performing a resistance exercise. The footballer stopped and with his yell called the attention of the medical staff, who treated him immediately. After a few minutes he resumed training.”
Really? Because I thought a bee sting could keep you out for months! Thank God his recovery time was only a few minutes! Calcio never ceases to amaze me. That’s why I love it.
